Assisi Garment industry got its starts in the year 1994 pioneering in the manufacture of Cotton garments using Organic cotton. We are non-profit rehabilitation program in Tamil Nadu India. The company is first of its kind in Tirupur, which is run by Fransican Sisters where 120 young women who are handicapped and / or economically disadvantaged. We primarily focus our production of organic cotton knitted products like T-Shirts that are so soft and sophisticated to feel and fall in love with it.

      Our company has a workforce of around 120 women who are given trainings and support along with food and accommodation. We care not only for the cotton but also for these disabled people at a stretch. We offer an attractive salary for those who work in our company rather than other companies around us. We also have 60 men workers working along with these women. Being a supportive workforce we are capable of producing products with high clarity and International finish.
  As per IMO inspection visit and certification we are entitled to process and deal with textiles out of organic cotton.

We are one of the first companies that have been inspected according to the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) and await certification after the GOTS working group has finalised their certification procedures(latest in September 2006)
 
Based on our GOTS compliance we are able to serve our clients demands that require compliance according to the following label schemes ;
 
(i) IVN
(ii) Soil Association
(iii)OTA
(iv) JOCA
    

At present we are certified with SKAL ECO Sustainable Textile certification We are proud to say that we are the First one to got the certification in allover South India., the company is involved in the process of achieving SA 8000 certification. Our Organic cotton is certified by the FAIRTRADE certification from Germany and also have IMO Certification.
